The second-largest city in New York state, Buffalo is filled with architectural landmarks including an Olmsted designed park system, homes and buildings designed by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, premier cultural attractions including a symphony orchestra, a thriving theater scene including a Shakespeare in the Park series, world-renowned art gallery, prestigious colleges and universities, and many indoor and outdoor recreational sites.

Buffalo’s recent economic and cultural renaissance has re-invigorated the city and attracted the attention of the entire nation. That was so much a part of the fabric of life.” “I’ve come closest to it in Buffalo,” she added. “That is a city that in philosophy, personality and history comes closest to making it happen.”
Buffalo is approximately one hour by plane from other U.S. metropolitan areas, including Boston, Chicago, D.C., Detroit, New York City, Philadelphia. Toronto, the largest city in Canada, is just 90 minutes away by car, train or bus. Buffalo is also 20 minutes from Niagara Falls, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World.”
